Privacy Policy

LexiBear ("we", "our", or "the app") helps parents capture children's unique words, meanings, audio recordings, and optional images you attach. This Privacy Policy describes how information is handled when you use the app.

LexiBear does not require a LexiBear account, login, email, or name. We do not collect your dictionary content on LexiBear-operated servers. Your journal stays on your device by default. If you use Shared Profiles (subscription), optional sync and collaboration use Apple's services under your Apple ID as described below.

Words, meanings, parent notes, audio recordings, and images you add in LexiBear are stored on your device by default.

We do not operate a LexiBear backend that stores your journal for us to read or use for marketing.

If you enable Shared Profiles (requires an active subscription and a signed-in Apple ID on the device), Apple's systems may sync shared dictionary data with people you invite and across your devices. That processing is handled by Apple under your Apple ID and device settings.

Device backup (computer or cloud backup in Settings, if you use it) may include app data; that is between you and Apple.

You may create:

• Word entries and meanings
• Parent notes
• Audio recordings
• Images attached to words
• Child profile labels you choose
• App language preferences

This information is kept on your device as described above. We do not collect personal identity data for an account because the app does not use accounts.

LexiBear does not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. We do not collect analytics, ad identifiers, or cross-app tracking data about you.

Purchases are processed by Apple under Apple's policies.

Your content is used only on your device to:

• Show and manage your word journal
• Play audio you recorded
• Show images you selected

There is no automated profiling or marketing use of your journal by us.

The app may ask for:

• Microphone — to record audio you attach to words.
• Photo Library — to let you choose photos to attach to words.

You can change these in Settings → LexiBear. If you deny access, related features will be unavailable.

LexiBear is for parents and guardians.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app. Profiles hold only content you add (words, notes, recordings, images).

You control creating, editing, and deleting content.

You can delete words, recordings, images, or whole profiles in the app. Uninstalling the app removes local data from the device (subject to any backup you keep).

We do not hold a copy of your journal on our servers.

LexiBear uses Apple system frameworks (storage, audio, interface, and StoreKit for in-app purchases through the App Store).

We do not sell, rent, or trade your dictionary content.

You can access, edit, or delete your content inside the app. For copies outside the app, use device backup options you control.
